“There's a genuine warmth to this Grade II listed, 17th-century building, a former coaching inn that clearly prioritizes a personal touch. I admire the dedication to service-a late check-in accommodated with a smile, the staff keen to welcome both guests and their canine companions. The countryside location near Knaresborough, coupled with the promise of homecooked meals, makes it a strong choice for those seeking a cozy, pet-friendly escape.”

Decent visit, some issues

good breakfast attractive conservatory helpful staff small room steep stair no shower
The breakfast was good. It was cooked to order in an attractive conservatory. The staff helped me when I needed a phone charger, I was very happy. Staff members are helpful, professional and friendly.
My room was small and up a steep stair. It was in an annexe building, there was no internal access to the main building. It was very noisy when guests entered the building. I discovered in the morning the shower didn't work. The main building was keyed and nobody answered the door.
